Elder Timothy Ballard Jr. is a devoted minister, leader, and community advocate with a passion for serving God and advancing His Kingdom through biblical principles, honesty, respect, and love.
Early Life & Education
Born and raised in a faith-filled home, Elder Ballard is the youngest of four children of Bishop Timothy and Lady Theresa Ballard. He was educated in both the New Jersey and Darlington County public school systems. He graduated from Darlington High School in 2008, where he actively participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including the Darlington High School Gospel Choir, playing a key role in its programming and direction for performances, contests, and concerts.
At the age of 11, he received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. By 15, he had accepted his calling to ministry and was officially licensed on January 8, 2005.
Ministry & Leadership
Elder Ballard began his preaching ministry at El’ Shaddai Christian Center under the leadership of his father. Following his high school graduation, he was released to serve at Kingdom Life Ministries in Orangeburg, SC. Upon returning to Florence, SC, he continued his ministry at the Pentecostal United Church of Christ (Apostolic) and, in the fall of 2018, was ordained as an elder.
In 2023, Elder Ballard joined The Transformation Community Church, where he currently serves as an associate pastor, continuing his mission of spiritual leadership and mentorship.
Professional & Community Involvement
Beyond ministry, Elder Ballard is dedicated to serving his community. He is currently employed with the Darlington County School District as a Human Resource Specialist, providing support to approximately 680 classified staff members. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in youth development as the head associate coach for the Darlington High School boys' basketball team.
Throughout his journey, he has actively participated in numerous organizational and planning committees, demonstrating his commitment to service and leadership.
Family Life
Elder Ballard is married to the former Ila Reese, and together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Lydia Faith, Timothy Josiah, and David Nathaniel.
